Trends in Consumer Fireworks

It’s exciting to be involved in such an innovative and rapidly changing industry.  In this post, we wanted to update you on the latest trends in consumer fireworks.

Products are getting more sophisticated and more powerful:

Aerials and Multi-shots:
  • Manufacturers continue to build their 200 gram and 500 gram product lines with many new products

  • New “Fan Effects” products where the fireworks explode left to right and back again in a fan effect.

Artillery shells and Mortars: 

Novelty products:
  • Trendy items like “Exploding Bin Laden Noggin”
  • New Neon Sparklers from Japan

  • You can see what your local fireworks store has in stock
  • Watch online videos to “try before you buy”  
  • Save time by creating a wish list before you go to the store - How it works.

Fireworks safety has improved dramatically: 

  • 1976 injury rate: 38.3 injuries per 100,000 pounds of fireworks
  • Injury Rate Today: 3.3 injuries per 100,000 pounds of fireworks
  • Over 90% increase in consumer firework safety.
As you can see, the consumer fireworks industry is quickly evolving!  This means better products that are easier to purchase and safer celebrations with your friends and family.
