Purchasing Fireworks? Let Our Experts Guide You.
If you’re an inexperienced DIY-er planning to tackle a home improvement project — say, replacing a faucet — would you go to the hardware store and buy the first wrench, faucet, and pipe fittings that catch your eye? Of course not.  You would look for one of the helpful store associates in an orange apron, explain your needs, and let them point you toward the best tools for the job. After all, that’s why they are there - to offer expertise and advice to help you plan and purchase wisely.

So if you’re inexperienced in designing a fireworks show, why go into just any store, buy whatever catches your eye, and hope for the best? Just like the wrong choices in a plumbing project could leave you with a flooded kitchen, the wrong choices in fireworks selection could lead to problems, and a disappointment for your friends and family. When you spend your hard-earned money on fireworks, you don’t want to end up with a lackluster or disjointed display. On the other hand, you also don’t want to choose fireworks that are too large for your space and risk injury or property damage.

The experienced staff at the Golf Ball Outlet & Fireworks Mega Store can help. As a family-run business, we know our products well and are ready to help you with every step of your fireworks purchase. We’ll ask questions about your space, your tastes and preferences, and of course, your budget. Then we’ll walk you through the store and explain the options to you. Best of all, our on-demand videos let you experience each firework before you buy it, helping you and our staff put together the perfect fireworks combination. We want to earn your repeat business, so we’ll make sure you can plan with confidence and provide the best show possible for your audience.
How to Plan the Perfect Fireworks Show
A great fireworks show like most forms of entertainment thrills spectators without revealing the logistics involved. A little effort in planning ahead is the key to a fireworks show that looks effortless to spectators.

The first step to planning your show is to consider your location, starting with your state. Every state has different laws about what firework varieties are allowed for consumer use, local permits for large-scale displays, and insurance requirements.

On a smaller scale, also consider the space you will use to stage your fireworks. You need a level, open space free from flammable materials or overhead hazards like trees or power lines. Block off a fallout zone extending about 75 feet around your staging area to protect spectators from falling debris. Plan to put the spectator area upwind of the staging area where people can get in and out without having to cross the staging area or fallout zone.

Now that you know what space you have to work with, it’s time for the real fun – planning the actual display. Let the experts at your local fireworks store help you select products and assemble the best show for your budget. Got big dreams for your display? At the Golf Ball Outlet and Fireworks Mega Store, you can setup a wish list online so that you can plan your show in advance and purchase a little at a time as the big day approaches.

Once you know which fireworks your show will include, break it down into shorter “mini-shows”, remembering to put the larger and higher-flying fireworks further from the spectators and smaller fireworks closer to the front. Write out a list of which fireworks will be ignited in which order, and recruit a helper or two if you’re planning a larger show. You can also view demonstration videos online so you can better plan the sequence.  Set up your fireworks early while the sun’s still out, be sure you have a fire extinguisher handy, and you’re set for a show that’s guaranteed to impress!
